3D SCANNING & PRINTING
3D scanning is the process of analyzing an object to collect data on its shape and appearance, then using the collected data to create a digital 3D model. These 3D models can then be modified, tweaked, and printed into new real-world applications. The 3D printed object is achieved using additive processes. In additive processes, an object is created by laying down successive layers of material until the 3D object is completed. Through 3D printing, HD Designs can produce complex shapes using less materials than traditional manufacturing methods, allowing us to print prototypes at cost-effective prices before manufacturing a part or object.
Before our CNC machining processes, HD Designs will prototype through 3D scanning and printing many parts and objects. This allows us to fine-tune our creation to fit any custom vehicle modification, firearm part, or application.
CAD PROGRAMMING
CAD Programming is the use of a computer to help in the creation, modification, or optimization of a design. Designs created through CAD software help protect custom products and inventions. CAD output is often in the form of electronic files for manufacturing processes like 3D printing or CNC machining, both services offered by HD Designs. In our extensive catalog of products and services, CAD is heavily used, as it’s superior to sketching and manual drafting.
